SHARES in Caely Holdings Bhd (fundamental: 0.35/3; valuation: 1.4/3) triggered our momentum algorithm on Friday for the fifth time this month.

Caely closed up three sen or 4.54% at 69 sen, with 8.56 million shares traded versus a 200-day average volume of 511,800.5 shares. The group’s market capitalisation stood at RM53.2 million. Caely is involved in manufacturing, retailing, export and direct selling of lingerie products, health supplements, food and beverages, cosmetics, general products, and personal care products.

Caely’s share price hit a one-year low of 38 sen on Nov 28 before surging 81.58% to a one-year high of 69 sen last Friday.

For the second financial quarter ended Sept 30, 2017, Caely slipped back into the red with a net loss of RM233,573 after five consecutive years of booking a profit. In the previous year’s corresponding quarter, it made a net profit of RM2.19 million.

At last Friday’s market close, its shares were trading at 0.63 times its net book value.
