SHARES in integrated facilities management company AWC Bhd (fundamental: 2.8/3, valuation: 1.1/3) triggered our momentum algorithm last Friday for the first time this year.
The counter gained one sen or 0.91% to settle at RM1.11, following trades of 1.93 million shares. In comparison, its 200-day average volume was 2.75 million.
In the third quarter ended March 31, 2017, its net profit fell 13% to RM5.03 million from RM5.76 million in the previous year, due to lower additional work under the company’s concession contracts, while its environment division was hit by project delays.
Revenue for the quarter decreased 10% to RM67.42 million from RM75.33 million.
For the cumulative nine-month period, net profit jumped 45% to RM15.69 million from RM10.76 million, while revenue increased 21% to RM210.18 million.
AWC is currently trading at 2.15 times its book value.
