KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 23): Spritzer Bhd announced that a factory of one of its subsidiaries, Chuan Sin Sdn Bhd (CS), in Shah Alam was affected by flooding over the weekend.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Thursday (Dec 23), the bottled water manufacturer said the operations of the plant have been disrupted for a few days in order to carry out maintenance repairs on machinery and clear up some stocks which were damaged.
“The company is unable to quantify the damages and consequential losses at this juncture as the company is still in the process of assessing the damages. Nonetheless, the assets are adequately covered by insurance.
“The board is of the view that the damages arising from the flood incident is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share and net assets per share of Spritzer for the financial year ending December 31, 2021 (FY21),” it said.
Shares in Spritzer finished two sen or 1.01% up to RM2 on Thursday, giving it a market value of RM419.99 million.
