KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 10): Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) via its wholly-owned subsidiary SCIB Infraworks Sdn Bhd has clinched an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM16.28 million from Satria Kasturi (M) Sdn Bhd. 

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the group said the contract spans 96 weeks from October 2021 until August 2023 and it entails the development of a solid waste transfer station in Pontian, Johor. 

“The contract secured will not have any effect on the issued share capital and the shareholdings of substantial shareholders of the company.

“The contract secured is expected to contribute positively to SCIB group’s future earnings over the duration of the contract,” it said. 

According to the group’s website, SCIB manufactures and sells precast concrete, pipes, prestressed spun concrete piles and other related concrete products. 

It is also engaged in property dealing and trading, and installation of industrialised building systems.

Shares in SCIB settled two sen or 3.39% lower to 57 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM285.8 million. 

Year to date, the stock has fallen by 58.39% from a peak of RM2.99 reported in January.
