If you’re looking for a reason to shop, here’s one — American retailer of affordable high street fashion Forever 21 recently opened its first ever flagship store in Malaysia at Mid Valley Megamall. The new store, the fourth outlet in the Klang Valley, boasts 22,000 sq ft of retail space spread over two floors.

The grand opening was officiated by Yasser Sharaf, managing director of the retail division of the Dubai-based Sharaf Group, the franchise holder of Forever 21 for Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.

“We are very pleased to have been given the opportunity to expand our business into Mid Valley and offer our value to more people,” he said. “Of course our job becomes much more pleasurable knowing how customers in this area really understand our trends, and we look forward to providing them with fashion forward merchandise and an exciting shopping experience.”

Indeed, an exciting shopping experience is what fans of the brand can expect at the snazzy new store. The sheer variety of merchandise is impressive. In addition to carrying sub-brands like Love 21 and Heritage 1981 — both of which are also available in the other outlets — the flagship store introduces a range previously unavailable in Malaysia: Forever 21 Girls.

This fun, new range catering for pre-teen girls offers a full assortment of comfortable, cool and recess-ready styles. Not only that, the flagship store also has a dedicated space for shoes, accessories and lingerie on the second level.

What’s great about the store is that it is laid out according to fashion trends — there are dedicated spaces for exotic animal prints, classic American looks, clothes suitable for the office, everyday basics, summer dresses, tartan pieces and tribal-inspired prints, for instance. Separates that would pair well together are arranged close to each other, so that you wouldn’t have to look far to put together a stylish ensemble.
