KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has appointed Reza Abdul Rahim as its chief financial officer effective June 1.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, SapuraKencana said Reza, 40, who was the group's strategy and regional development senior vice president since January last year, will take over from Chow Mei Mei.
Chow, 50, has been redesignated as the group's financial advisory and portfolio planning senior vice president.
Meanwhile, SapuraKencana said Reza, who has a Master of Philosophy in Finance from Cambridge University, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
"Reza has experience in audit, financial management and corporate finance. He was the group's offshore construction and subsea services division senior vice president in 2012.
"Previously, he was Axiata Group Bhd's senior vice president and corporate finance group head. Prior to that, he was Sapura Holdings Sdn Bhd's chief financial officer and Sapura Technology Bhd's group financial controller," it said.
SapuraKencana closed three sen or 1.82% higher at RM1.68 for a market capitalisation of RM10.1 billion.
