Rubber medical glove maker Riverstone Holdings says unit Riverstone Resources Sdn Bhd has awarded a contract to a Malaysia company to construct another new glove dipping line at the factory located in Selangor for a contract sum of RM1.85 million ($754,000) to be completed by November.

Another unit of the company, Protective Technology, has also awarded a contract to a Malaysian company to construct another new glove dipping line at its factory building at Prachinburi in Thailand for RM1.91 million, to be completed by January 2010.

Riverstone Holdings says the new lines will be funded internal resources. When completed, the group’s production capacity is expected to increase by 140 million to 1.04 billion gloves.
