KUALA LUMUR: RHB Bank Bhd has made a slew of senior management changes, starting with the appointment of Rakesh Kaul as group head of retail banking effective immediately.
In his new role, Rakesh will lead the banking group’s retail franchise across segments, products and channels and push its agenda of digitisation, focusing on customer centricity.
“Retail banking is a significant component of RHB Bank’s five-year strategy known as “FIT22”,” the group said in a statement yesterday, adding that Rakesh will spearhead retail banking key initiatives under its transformation programme.
Rakesh had served 22 years in Citigroup in various leadership roles across Asian markets and business groups. His last role was as head of retail commercial banking for the Asia-Pacific.
RHB acting head of group retail banking Nazri Othman, meanwhile, will assume the role of chief operations officer (COO). He replaces Rohan Krishnalingam, who will take on the role of group chief digital and technology officer.
Apart from ensuring that the operational aspects run smoothly and efficiently, Nazri will also focus on boosting customer service excellence and satisfaction, said RHB.
In addition to leading the group’s digital initiatives, Rohan will also lead all aspects of the group’s technology function and drive the adoption of AGILE@Scale.
