A showcase of vintage, classic and modern models
Each spring, The Quail Motorcycle Gathering rumbles to life in sleepy Carmel, California, with a public showcase of vintage, classic and modern motorcycles. More than 400 entrants participated this year in the judged competition. Also on hand were the much-hyped Kawasaki H2 and H2R street bikes, the new Ducati Scrambler, and Keanu Reeves with his new Arch Motorcycles. A 1951 Mondial 125 Bialbero Grand Prix — famous for its rounded body and 1950s racing championships — won Best in Show. Here, from the show, are other spectacular bikes that elevate motorcycling to an art. — Bloomberg
