SINGAPORE (Nov 23): Rajah & Tann Singapore has launched a new practice group, Business Fundamentals, to serve start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The new unit, which will be headed by partner Jonathan Yuen, aims to provide legal advice in deal-making and dispute resolution as well as strong documentation customised for start-ups and SMEs.

SMEs make up 99% of Singapore's companies, employ 70% of the country's workforce and contribute 50% of the gross domestic product, according to SPRING Singapore.
