KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 4): Former Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera CEO Raja Azura Raja Mahayuddin has been appointed as an independent and non-executive director of Ireka Corp Bhd.

Raja Azura, 49, brings with her over 20 years of experience in the field of human capital, audit and nation building, said Ireka in a filing with Bursa Malaysia. 

She had previously served Malaysia Airlines as chief internal auditor, as well as executive vice president for human capital.

She had also worked at Khazanah Nasional Bhd as senior vice president for strategic human capital management, and at Arthur Andersen & Co as assistant manager of the services division. 

Raja Azura holds a master of business administration degree from Heriot Watt University and a bachelors degree in accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Shares in Ireka settled unchanged at 76 sen on Tuesday (Jan 4), giving the group a market capitalisation of RM173.12 million.
