KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 11): Computerized vehicle inspection company Puspakom said one of its employees at its Petaling Jaya branch has tested positive for Covid-19.
Following this, the branch will be shut down indefinitely effective tomorrow (Jan 12), in order to perform a complete sanitation and cleaning process, said the wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Bhd.
"All branch staff will undergo a Covid-19 screening test, while those who are in direct contact with the staff have been instructed to undergo quarantine for 14 days," the company said in a statement.
For customers who have made appointments at the Petaling Jaya branch, Puspakom said all inspection appointment fees that have been made will be refunded automatically.
Alternatively, they can undergo a walk-in inspection with cash payment at other branches.
"Customers need to bring a Puspakom Petaling Jaya appointment confirmation slip, when attending an alternative branch," it added.
The other branches that have been listed as alternatives are Puspakom Glenmarie and Padang Jawa for private vehicles, and Puspakom Cheras, Taman Bukit Maluri and Padang Jawa for light commercial vehicles and e-hailing.
