KUALA LUMPUR (May 1): Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) has launched the Bezza in Mauritius as the Malaysian car manufacturer capitalises on Mauritius' status as a popular international tourist destination to market Perodua cars.
In a statement, Perodua president & chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh said Mauritius would offer a good platform to introduce the Bezza sedan to the world.
“Mauritius is a strategic destination for us as this country is one of the most popular tourist destination spots in the world and having the Perodua Bezza here would give it the global exposure that it needs," Aminar said.
According to Perodua's statement, the company is selling the Bezza in Mauritius through its authorised distributor Raouf Dusmohamud & Co Ltd.
Perodua said Raouf Dusmohamud & Co would distribute Bezza variants including the 1.0L and 1.3L Premium X automatic transmission and manual transmission cars.
