Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad said many of its customers’ vehicles are overdue for servicing as the country was under the Movement Control Order for two months.
“We are therefore extending the operation hours of selected service centres and B&P hubs to meet the high demand and continue giving our valued customers total peace of mind,” he added.
“This initiative should ease pent-up demand for Perodua servicing in major regions. We will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of this pilot project continually; for now, it will run until further notice.
“As a People First company, this initiative represents Perodua’s perpetual commitment to put our valued customers first in everything we do,” said Zainal.
In addition, Perodua saw 2.35 million service intakes last year via its 202 service centres nationwide.
Besides, customers who want to service their vehicles are required to secure an appointment slot beforehand with their selected service centres.
However, walk-ins will still not be accepted at present.
Before entering the service centres, all visitors must undergo temperature checks, register their details and adhere to the social distancing markers within outlets at all times.
