KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Perdana Petroleum Bhd has secured a RM67 million contract to provide a floating accommodation vessel to Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Perdana Petroleum said the charter will run for a period of three years from Sept 17, with an extension option of two years.
It added the risks associated with the contract are normal operational risks which can be mitigated through the group's system of project management and internal business controls.
The contract is expected to contribute positively to Perdana Petroleum's revenue and earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016 (FY16) and the financial periods thereafter for the duration of the contract.
"There will be no effect on the gearing of the group and the contract will not have material effect on the net asset per share for FY16," it said.
Trading in Perdana Petroleum shares has been suspended since Sept 30 last year, pending its compliance with the public shareholding spread under Bursa Malaysia's listing requirements.
