KUALA LUMPUR (March 31): Pavilion Kuala Lumpur said the shopping mall along Jalan Bukit Bintang here remains open for business as usual after a small fire incident in the kitchen of a restaurant at the mall's level one on Wednesday (March 30) afternoon.

"No one was hurt and the mall remains open for business as usual," Pavilion said in a Facebook post.

It said the Fire and Rescue Department together with Pavilion's Operations and Security Department are currently investigating the cause of the fire incident, which occured at about 2.10pm on Wednesday.

“The fire was immediately put out and the incident [was] promptly reported to the Fire and Rescue Department.

“Rest assured that Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will continue to take all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety and health of our shoppers and tenants,” Pavilion said.
