KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall Phase 1 will be open to the public in May 2023 with over 70% confirmed tenants for its retail space. The opening of Phase 1 was announced at an unveiling ceremony on Tuesday (Nov 1). Pavilion Damansara Heights is an integrated development that will also feature five residential towers, ten corporate towers and a proposed 5-star hotel.
During the unveiling ceremony, Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Bhd’s chief executive officer (retail) Datuk Joyce Yap said the concept of the mall was designed based on an in-depth understanding of the retail market, extensive consumer research, and focus group studies from the early stages of conceptualisation to arrive at a leasing strategy based on the proven success factors of other malls.
“Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall will cater to the discerning consumer. With around 380 retail outlets, we are well-placed to serve diverse needs, which is a crucial ingredient for any successful mall," she said.
According to a press statement, the mall will have several components such as a supermarket, food and beverages (F&B), beauty and health, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment outlets among others. Some of the confirmed tenants include Harvey Norman, Swarovski, Adidas, Laneige, Gong Cha, IIaoIIao, Din Tai Fung, Starbucks Reserve and Machines.
“To be a complete lifestyle hub, we have curated not just a mere mall, but a complete place to live, work and play in. In essence, Pavilion Damansara Heights will also be a place for community bonding and serves to nourish relationships, be it over shopping, dining, or partaking in the array of entertainment activities offered,” Yap said.
Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall has a land area of 15.89 acres with a net lettable area of 533,361 sq ft for Phase 1 and 529,353 sq ft for Phase 2 with a combined retail mix composition of fashion (45%), F&B (35%), beauty (10%) and urban leisure (10%). The mall will also offer 1,800 car park bays for its customers.
The statement added that the mall will also have an event space called the Event Gallery, which will be an entertainment hub to host shows, pop-up events and product launches.
Yap added that the mall’s concept is a reflection of their commitment towards a data-driven destination. “[This will] allow better decision-making for our tenants and other stakeholders to maintain our competitive edge, increase the property value and provide convenience to the surrounding neighbourhood. All this is done while creating close to 4,000 jobs, in addition to various multiplier effects for the economy in line with our promise to contribute to the nation’s GDP.”
Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall is located 5km away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre and can be accessed from Petaling Jaya through Jalan Maarof, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Duta and Jalan Semantan.
The mall is close to the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station and is accessible via SPRINT Highway, Penchala Link and the Federal Highway.
