<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>According to Padini's filing on the resignation today, Chan, a Singaporean who is often the media spokesperson for Padini, worked in Vincci Department Store Sdn Bhd as a manager in charge of finance and administration from 1983 until 1987.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Tze Jet, meanwhile, is the son of Padini MD Yong Pang Chaun and his spouse, Chong Chin Lin. Chong and another son, Andrew Yong Tze How — brother to Tze Jet — are both EDs in the company.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Tze Jet is now the head of design, merchandising and retail of the group and is responsible for the overall management, development and organisation of the design, merchandising, retail and branding activities for the brands assigned to him.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Padini shares closed up 8 sen (3.2%) today to RM2.57, for a market capitalisation of RM1.69 billion.</p></div>
