NZ finance minister says "comfortable" with trend in NZ dollar

WELLINGTON (Dec 15): New Zealand Finance Minister Grant Robertson said on Friday he was comfortable with the general trend of the New Zealand dollar.

"We want the currency to operate at a sustainable level, I think it's doing that at the moment," Robertson told CNBC in an interview.

"We want a sustainable exchange rate that gives our exporters a fair go... I am comfortable with the general trend."

The New Zealand dollar was last up 0.16 percent at $0.6993.
