KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 4): Niro Ceramic (M) Sdn Bhd has announced the appointment of Ian Kok as the managing director of Niro Ceramic Group, in line with the company’s succession plan, the company noted.
Kok started his career in Niro Ceramic in 2005, serving in the position of chief operating officer and executive director, the company noted in a statement.
It added that throughout Kok's 15 years of service, he was involved in a wide spectrum of Niro Ceramic Group’s operations, covering manufacturing, logistics and sales in Malaysia and overseeing operations in Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Spain.
“Ian led the group superbly over the last one year and navigated the management team during this very challenging [Covid-19] pandemic period and tough global economy. We are confident that Ian will provide the leadership and expertise through the next phase of growth and profitability," the statement said, adding that the board of directors was delighted to appoint Kok as the new managing director.
Kok is succeeding Bong Kuan Shin.

Bong Kuan Shin will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors as executive vice-chairman," the statement stated.
