KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 29): NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn Bhd (NEC Malaysia) has opened a new office which houses a modern customer experience centre showcasing its cutting-edge biometrics, AI, IoT and touchless technologies deployed in smart cities globally.

In a statement, NEC Malaysia said both public and private sector partners in Malaysia will now be able to preview and experience the next frontier of smart city technologies at the new customer experience centre and fast track their digital transformation plans that were disrupted by the pandemic.

Officiating at the opening, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said Malaysia is on the cusp of the fourth industrial revolution.

“As we navigate the uncertainties from Covid-19 and move to the digital economy, we need to introduce innovative solutions that benefit our society and ensure shared prosperity for all Malaysians,” he said.

NEC Malaysia managing director Chong Kai Wooi said visitors to the new customer experience centre at The Gardens South Tower, Mid Valley City, will be able to see how it enables digital transformation for businesses across different industries and sectors in Malaysia and around the world.

“Alongside our Centre of Excellence that supports NEC’s Managed Services and Call Centre operations for Asia Pacific in Sunway Iskandar, NEC Malaysia is well-positioned to co-create industry-leading solutions that benefit the country and its people.

“NEC Malaysia, having supported Malaysia’s growth and development for over 40 years, has continuously striven to bring greater value to Malaysia through innovative solutions.

“We at NEC Malaysia welcome all stakeholders from public and private sectors to work together and help Malaysia navigate its current challenges and chart a path forward to a successful future,” he said.
