KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 27): Naza Communications Sdn Bhd (NCSB) and Everest Infrastructure Partners ANZ Pty Ltd have secured a partnership on investment and development in telecommunications infrastructure in Malaysia.
In statement on Thursday (Oct 27), NCSB said it has identified Everest as the preferred partner for its industry ties, sector leadership, market experience and strong TowerCo management expertise.
NCSB's chief executive officer Daryll Sinnappa said that Malaysia is on track for strong digital growth in the coming years.
"NCSB is working to unlock its potential and further strengthen its leadership with smart partnerships and key infrastructure projects," said Sinnappa.
"With Everest's innovative business model and investments into this space coupled with our local industry knowledge and expertise, we will be able to accelerate the fulfilment of the nation's wireless network densification and infrastructure needs," he added.
Everest's CEO Will Heapy said that the partnership with NCSB is the first in the region and the partnership will identify and invest in wireless telecommunications infrastructure assets in strategic locations.
"Everest seeks to play a key role in enhancing telecommunications infrastructure throughout Malaysia.
"This partnership will also allow Everest to maximise investments by leveraging NCSB's expertise and long-term relationships in the industry," said Heapy.
Everest is an Australia-based company focused on the acquisition and development of wireless communications towers, tower ground leases, rooftop antenna leases, and other wireless communications infrastructure.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between NCSB CEO, Everest CEO and Mike Mackey, president of Everest Infrastructure Partners Inc, at NCSB's headquarters.
