Mydin MD appointed as AmMetLife Takaful chairman

KUALA LUMPUR (March 8): AMMB Holdings Bhd’s 50%-owned joint venture family Takaful operator AmMetLife Takaful Bhd has appointed Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd managing director Datuk Wira (Dr) Ameer Ali Mydin as its chairman.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, AMMB said Ameer Ali’s appointment is effective from today.
Ameer Ali, 60, had been a member of AmMetLife Takaful board of directors since 2011.
AMMB’s share price closed unchanged at RM4.99 today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM15.04 billion.
