KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): Dr Muhammad Mohan has been re-elected as the president of Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M).
Also re-elected were Lawrence Chew as the deputy president and Raymon Ram as the secretary-general, TI-M said in a statement on Tuesday.
They were re-elected for a new two-year term in TI-M’s annual general meeting on Oct 16.
Meanwhile, Dr Abadan Jasmon is the new treasurer, while Chew Phye Keat, Afiqah Ayub, Nisha Kamilla, Nurirdzuana Ismail, Alan Kirupakaran and Noor’ Akilah Saidin are the other executive committee members.
Under the new executive committee, TI-M said it will continue to strive for a better nation and broaden its anti-corruption initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
“This year is more crucial than ever for an anti-corruption programme to be included as one of the top priorities.
“On the national level, TI-M will continue to advocate for improved policy reform to tackle corruption and focus on strengthening the collaboration between people and institutions to increase accountability and empower citizens through their engagement,” it added.
