KUALA LUMPUR (May 14): The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced 13 new Covid-19 clusters today.
In a statement, the minstry said there were four workplace clusters, four community clusters, two religious clusters, one higher institution cluster, one private education cluster, and one involving high-risk individuals.
The four workplace clusters were the Jalan Perindustrian Balakong in Hulu Langat, Selangor (138); the Tanjung Dungun in Setiu, Marang, Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Nerus, Kemaman, Dungun, and Besut in Terengganu (42); the Menara Jalan Putra in Kuantan, Pahang (29); the and Persiaran Utara in Kota Tinggi, Johor (16).
Meanwhile, the community clusters were the Bukit Pauh in Dungun, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, and Petaling in Terengganu, Pahang and Selangor (36); the Sungai Lebai in Pekan, Pahang (26); the Sungai Rayah in Meradong, Sarawak (13); and the Jalan Mawar Pasak in Kota Tinggi, Johor (11).
The two religious clusters were the Dah Mahsuri in Kubang Pasu, Kedah (50) and the Kampung Batu Muda in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur (17).
The higher education cluster involved the Jalan Tegas in Petaling, Gombak, Klang, and Hulu Langat in Selangor (23), while the Lebuh Lembah Permai (15) in Seberang Perai Tengah, Timur Laut, and Barat Daya in Penang involved a private education institution registered with the Ministry of Education.
Finally, the Lebuh Katz cluster in Timur Laut, Penang involving high-risk individuals reported 36 cases.
