PETALING JAYA (Oct 28): MGB Bhd, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, has officially launched Idaman Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP).

Idaman BSP is a high-rise residential project with unit sizes from 1,000 sq ft and selling prices from RM250,000.

It is one of its Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects, which comprise 7,210 affordable homes in total, tapping MGB’s in-house industrialised building system (IBS) pre-cast technology. 

According to a statement on Thursday, MGB group executive vice chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San said the company supports the goal of the Selangor state government in building 30,000 affordable homes by 2025. 

"We have invested heavily in our IBS system and upgraded our IBS factory to increase our capacity to 6,000 IBS units annually. This is in line with our goal to become a leading housing solution provider via our IBS system," he said.

"Moving forward, MGB is prepared to construct more Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects to ensure continuous replenishment of our order book for the upcoming financial years."

Idaman BSP is situated in the Bandar Saujana Putra township, located next to Cyberjaya and Puchong. It is accessible via major highways and is near public amenities such as police and fire stations, hospitals, schools and shopping malls.  

The units that will be offered in Idaman BSP come with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car parks. They will also be furnished with three air-conditioners, a television unit, television and kitchen cabinets, three wardrobes, a refrigerator and two water heaters.

Rumah Selangorku MBI is an initiative by the Selangor state government to deliver affordable houses to qualifying citizens. 

Under this initiative, Malaysian citizens aged 18 years and above with a household income range of between RM3,001 and RM10,000 per month and are first-time homebuyers in Selangor may apply. Priority is given to those working or residing in Selangor. 

Meanwhile, MGB had entered into a joint venture agreement with PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd to form PCSB-MGB Consortium for its Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects. Their aim is to build affordable homes in strategic locations. 

MGB has plans for five other Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI projects, namely Idaman KITA in Cybersouth, Idaman Perdana in Bandar Puncak Alam, Idaman Cahaya in Shah Alam, Idaman Sari in Puchong and Idaman Melur in Cybersouth. They will be launched by end-2022.
