SINGAPORE (Aug 21): US-based insurer MetLife today launched an experimental blockchain insurance product in Singapore that eliminates the claims process.
Dubbed Vitana, the product insures expectant mothers against diabetes developed during pregnancy, for a one-time payout of up to S$2,500.
Vitana will be rolled out to up to 300 Singapore-based expectant mothers aged between 16 and 45, who are within the first 23 weeks of pregnancy. They must not have a history of diabetes, or had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy. The premium... (Click here to read the full story)
