KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) said its Maybank2u website, which experienced intermittent slowness on Tuesday (Jan 25), is now back to normal. "Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and continuous support,” Maybank said in a Facebook post. On Tuesday, Maybank said its Maybank2u website was experiencing intermittent slowness and that Maybank2u website users could perform their banking transactions on Maybank's MAE and Maybank2u MY applications. Maybank however did not specify reasons behind Maybank2u website’s intermittent slowness.
At Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Maybank’s share price rose three sen or 0.36% to RM8.26 for a market value of about RM98.13 billion. Maybank’s latest-reported number of issued shares stood at 11.88 billion, according to Maybank’s Bursa filing on Dec 9, 2021.
