KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 11): The Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade) said Malaysian companies generated RM126 million worth of potential sales at the Semicon West trade fair in the US' San Francisco city, as Malaysia-made semiconductor products were "well-received" at the event.
In a statement today, Matrade said six Malaysian companies participated in the event last month.
"Top Malaysian products and services sourced at Semicon West were OEM (original equipment manufacturer) contract manufacturing services, design and assembly, precision tooling and fabrication of parts and components, inspection machines, automatic test equipment and flexible circuits.
"Others were sub-systems or components or parts, factory control or facilities, software, support products and consumer electronics or displays. These product/services segments are also Malaysia’s strengths in the semiconductor industry," Matrade said.
