KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 19): Malakoff Corp Bhd’s unit has received approval from the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) to develop a 2.4 megawatt Biogas Power Plant in Johor.
In a bourse filing, the group announced that its 60%-owned indirect subsidiary Southern Biogas Sdn Bhd received the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) approval from SEDA yesterday for the plant, which will be located in Ulu Sebol, Kota Tinggi.
The unit, it said, participated in a competitive e-bidding exercise for the project and submitted its bid on June 5.
Malakoff shares closed 2.13% or two sen lower at 92 sen today, valuing it at RM4.6 billion. It saw 2.07 million shares traded.
