KUALA LUMPUR (March 19): Lazada Malaysia has reminded its customers to change their delivery address to their home address during the current Movement Control Order period.

Most Malaysians have their orders delivered to offices and most offices are closed during this period, said a Lazada Malaysia spokesman in a statement.

"There is a surge in order for grocery items, household staples, even milk formula and diapers and we want to make sure they reach safely to people who need them the most," the spokesman said.

As a gazetted essential service, Lazada Malaysia said it will continue its operations as normal during this period.

"Lazada is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. We are taking necessary measures issued by the Malaysian Government for the COVID-19 public health situation.

"Our warehouse and delivery personnel have been working tirelessly to ensure business operations and customer orders are delivered. While the movement of goods is not restricted, we expect our warehouse and delivery operations to experience delays due to the situation," the spokesman said.

Lazada Malaysia said that for new orders, customers are advised to shop from home and place their home address as the designated location to receive packages.

“For existing orders, it is best to cancel the order if it has not been shipped, then re-order under the customers' home address. Deliveries to office addresses will only be fulfilled after April 1,” the spokesman said.
