KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 25): KKB Engineering Bhd has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) subcontract involving a flare platform for the Kawasari Gas Development Project, located offshore Sarawak, from Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd and Technip Geoproduction (M) Sdn Bhd.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, KBB said its subsidiary, OceanMight Sdn Bhd, has received a letter of award for the EPC work, with a formal agreement between the parties to be executed in due course. No contract sum was specified.
The job is scheduled to be completed within the first half of 2022.
KKB Engineering's shares closed two sen or 1.21% lower at RM1.63 today, giving the engineering company a market capitalisation of RM420.2 million, after 300,400 shares were traded.
The counter, which soared 58% from the start of the year to RM2.35 on March 5, is now up 9.4% year-to-date, after paring the bulk of its gains.
