KUALA LUMPUR (July 27): The joint venture between Nusmetro Group Sdn Bhd and Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd is believed to have awarded a contract worth over RM300 million to Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd to build serviced apartments in Mont Kiara here.

According to sources close to the deal, the project is located within Naza TTDI's KL Metropolis development.

A press invite revealed Nusmetro is due to sign an agreement to appoint Kerjaya Prospek for the main building works of Arte Mont Kiara later today.

According to Nusmetro's website, the Arte Mont’Kiara sits on a 3.3-acre piece of land and features three towers of serviced suites and serviced apartments.

It will have 1,706 units, with built-up areas ranging from 422 sq ft to 1,142 sq ft. It is targeted for completion by 2019.

Penang-based Nusmetro currently has four on-going projects under the Arte Series, with a combined gross development value of RM3.1 billion. They are Arte Mont’Kiara, Arte + Ampang, Arte S Penang and Arte Subang West.

This will be the second contract bagged by Kerjaya Prospek, after it secured  a construction contract worth RM213.75 million from Yong Tai Bhd last week. The contract was for the construction of main building works of a proposed mixed development project, known as "The Apple" in Melaka.

As at 12 noon, shares in Kerjaya Prospek fell one sen or 0.41% at RM2.42, for a market value of RM1.23 billion.
