<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The succession plan was previously announced when Tabung Haji said its former group MD and CEO Tan Sri Ismee Ismail would be leaving.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a statement yesterday, Tabung Haji said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom had announced Johan’s appointment.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Datuk Johan Abdullah succeeds Tan Sri Ismee Ismail, who completes his services at the end of June 2016 after more than 10 years tenure in TH (Tabung Haji),” Jamil said.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>According to Tabung Haji’s statement, Johan joined the group in January 2015. Prior to that, he had been BIMB Holdings Bhd MD and CEO since May 2008.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Tabung Haji said Johan, who had also assumed senior roles at Bursa Malaysia Bhd, had extensive experience in Islamic and corporate finance.</p></div>
