Tickets are now on sale for Jersey Boys, the runaway smash hit musical based on one of the most successful rock 'n' roll groups from the 1960s, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Currently playing in major cities worldwide including New York, Las Vegas, London, Auckland and Brisbane, Jersey Boys will be staged at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands Theatre for a 14-week run beginning Nov 22.

This multi-award winning musical tells the real-life story of how four poor kids from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the greatest successes in pop music history.

The Four Seasons, consisting of Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records globally — all before they hit the age of 30.

While The Four Seasons may not be a familiar name to the younger generation, anyone who was born and raised in the 1960s would emember them clearly, as well as their meteoric rise to fame.

What is familiar to younger music listeners is the music itself — the band's hit songs like Walk like a Man, Rag Doll, Oh What a Night and Can't Take My Eyes Off You have been covered by many of today's pop artists, proving the diverse appeal and appreciation of this music as it lives on through the generations.

Written by Academy-award winner Marshall Brickman, Jersey Boys first opened in November 2005 to great success and critical acclaim — it broke Broadway's box office record over 30 times, and has been seen by over 13 million people across the globe.

Critics have been more than kind, with the New York Post saying it is "too good to be true", BBC Radio2 declaring it the "best Broadway musical in years" and the Los Angeles Times calling it "Mesmerising — a seismic sensation." Jersey Boys will be playing from Nov 20 till Feb 17 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands Theatre in Singapore. Tickets are S$65 (RM162) to S$165, and an early bird discount of 15% applies to purchases made before Sept 30.
