It is unclear who sold the shares but the deals raised Kim Feng’s stake to 15%, making it the second largest shareholder, after founder and deputy executive chairman Wong Kong Foo (23.2%).

While Kim Feng was accumulating shares in the property developer, Emas Kiara (fundamental: 0.95; valuation: 0.90) executive chairman Tan Sri Kamaruzzaman Shariff sold four million shares or a 4.35% stake on Oct 12 at undisclosed prices and ceased to be a substantial shareholder.

Elsewhere, Only World Group Holdings Bhd founder, chief executive and managing director Datuk Koh Cheng Keong disposed of 10 million shares or a 5.41% stake on Oct 7. Filings with Bursa on Oct 12 indicate that the transaction took place via his private vehicle, Rich Dad Cafe Sdn Bhd, leaving Koh with a 59.37% indirect stake.

Neither the buyer nor the transaction price was disclosed. Only World (fundamental: NA; valuation: NA) closed at RM2.28 on the transaction date.

Notable movements

Shares in Success Transformer Corp Bhd (fundamental: 1; valuation: 1.80), which had been largely trending lower most of this year, staged a sharp rebound the past two weeks.

After diving 34% from RM1.98 in late September 2014 to RM1.30 on Aug 16 this year, the stock shot up 41% or 55 sen over two weeks to close at RM1.88 last Wednesday.

WTech Holdings Sdn Bhd (previously the second largest shareholder) ceased to be a substantial shareholder after it sold 6.3 million shares or a 5.5% stake in Success Transformer from Oct 8 to 13. Filings show WTech disposed of 1.23 million shares at between RM1.338 and RM1.375 apiece. On Oct 13, it sold another 5.11 million shares at RM1.467 apiece. Astral Supreme Bhd (fundamental: 0.95; valuation: 0) bucked its recent downward trend last Monday when it closed at 14 sen — up 21% from a low of 11 sen on Aug 17. This occurred about a week before its unit, Astral Supreme Construction Sdn Bhd, was awarded a RM38.5 million Projek Perumahan Rakyat subcontract job in Tawau, Sabah, by Wira Syukur (M) Sdn Bhd.

Filings show that Astral Supreme’s newly appointed managing director Datuk Ng Aun Hooi acquired two million shares or a 0.69% stake in the company on Oct 8, 9 and 13, paying between 11 sen and 13 sen apiece. Ng is also a major shareholder in Wira Syukur — the reason the Tawau project, with a gross profit margin of 8.39%, was classified as a related-party transaction. Astral Supreme closed at 13 sen last Tuesday.
