KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 16): Offset packaging printing specialist HPP Holdings Bhd said its four manufacturing facilities in Melaka have resumed operations after a temporary suspension following the detection of Covid-19 cases among workers.

HPP said the Ministry of Health (MoH) approved the resumption of operations of the affected facilities located in Taman Teknologi Cheng effective Aug 14.

"The group will continue to adhere strictly to standard operating procedures issued by National Security Council and MoH, and will conduct sanitisation and disinfection work at the group's premises regularly, with all the necessary precautionary measures for Covid-19 strictly in place," it added in a bourse filing.

The group ceased operations at the affected manufacturing facilities on Aug 3 to carry out deep sanitisation and disinfection work after detecting eight Covid-19 cases among its factory employees.

At 3.06pm, shares of HPP stood unchanged at 48 sen, valuing the group at RM186.45 million.
