KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 17): Heitech Padu Bhd announced that it was awarded three contracts to establish high voltage interconnection facilities for three solar power plants for a sum of RM75.16 million.

In a filing with the stock exchange today, Heitech Padu said that its subsidiary Duta Technic Sdn Bhd received three letters of awards from Scatec Solar Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd — a unit of Scatec Solar ASA Norway — for the jobs, which are located in Kedah, Melaka, and Terengganu.

Works for the 3x50MW solar power plants (SPP), said Heitech Padu, will comprise SPP works, SPP interconnectors, SPP interconnection facility and medium voltage interconnectors.

“The scope of the projects are for engineering design, covering civil and structural works and high voltage electrical equipment, installation of underground cable and overhead transmission line including retrofitting works at Tenaga Nasional Berhad 132/33kV substations, manufacturing, inspection, testing, delivery, installation and construction, site test and commissioning,” the company said in the announcement.

Heitech Padu said that Duta Technic is waiting for the notice from Scatec Solar to proceed with the projects, with final acceptance of the project slated by Jan 31, 2018.

At 5pm, shares of Heitech Padu closed unchanged at 80 sen per share, giving it a market capitalisation of RM80.98 million.
