KUALA LUMPUR (June 4): Home improvement retailer Mr DIY Group (M) Bhd has added health and personal care products to its current line-up across stores.

In a statement today, the group said the health and personal care product line features 69 products from a variety of reputable brands, including vitamins and supplements, sanitary products, personal hygiene care, oral care treatments, over-the-counter medicine, family planning goods, as well as Covid-19 essentials.

It said the health and personal care product line-up complements the other product categories currently available at Mr DIY stores — hardware, household and furnishings, electrical, stationery, sports equipment, and others (comprising toys, car accessories, jewellery, cosmetics, and food and beverage items).

Mr DIY’s marketing vice president Andy Chin said the group’s aim is to become the one-stop centre for everyday essentials for all Malaysians.

“Health and personal care products like body wash, shampoo, vitamins and sanitisers cater to the needs of the whole family, so it made sense for us to introduce it as a new product category,” he said.

He added that Mr DIY had worked closely with its suppliers to curate a comprehensive line-up of health and personal care products that would best meet a whole family’s needs, with the resulting range including items for babies, children, as well as adults.

The new range of products are available at more than 350 Mr DIY stores nationwide from June 1, and will eventually be rolled out to all Mr DIY stores nationwide in the near future.

At noon break, Mr DIY was unchanged at RM3.99, valuing the group at RM24.98 billion.
