KUALA LUMPUR: Globaltec Formation Bhd plans to work with Indonesia’s PT Pertamina Gas to jointly explore the supply of coalbed methane gas from the Tanjung Enim production-sharing contract (PSC) in South Sumatra, Indonesia for distribution to Pertamina Gas’ consumers there.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Globaltec said its Australia-listed subsidiary, NuEnergy Gas Ltd, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pertamina Gas to jointly evaluate the economic viability of coalbed methane gas supply from Tanjung Enim PSC’s initial plan of development, with the aim of utilising the gas to fulfil Pertamina Gas’ consumer needs in Sumatra.
Pertamina Gas is a subsidiary of Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina, and one of NuEnergy’s joint-venture partners for the Tanjung Enim PSC.
