KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 5): BERSATU deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has been appointed as a ministerial-level special adviser to the prime minister.
In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said Ahmad Faizal, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tambun and former Perak menteri besar, will be advising Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on matters relating to community relations, societal communication and socio-economic development.
“The office congratulates YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Azumu on this appointment,” said the PMO.
The statement confirms several news reports made earlier today on his appointment as special adviser to the prime minister, amid the release of a poster by BERSATU Kota Bharu congratulating Ahmad Faizal on the appointment.
