KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 14): Elevator manufacturer Eita Resources Bhd has bagged several lift services works projects worth RM15.2 million to supply and install 18 units of lifts.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Eita said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Eita Elevator (M) Sdn Bhd, had received a letter of award (LOA) dated Sept 7 yesterday, as the ‘nominated sub-contractor’ from Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd to supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the lift services works for service apartment and office suites development project in Kuala Lumpur, for Tetuan Nusmetro Property Sdn Bhd.

“The sub-contracts shall be completed in accordance with the works programme and/or the physical progress at site, whichever is more advance,” Eita said.

The company said the sub-contracts are expected to commence anytime from the date of the official receipt of the LOA on Sept 13, and is expected to complete by Oct 31, 2019.

The sub-contracts will not have any material effect on the net assets and gearing of Eita Group for the financial year ending Sept 30, 2016. However, the sub-contracts are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Eita, over the duration of the sub-contracts.

Shares of Eita fell 2 sen or 1.5% to RM1.31 today, for a market capitalisation of RM170.3 million.
