KUALA LUMPUR (May 18): Dynaciate Group Bhd is proposing to change its name to Ingenieur Gudang Bhd. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday (May 18), Dynaciate said the proposed name has been approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) for the company on May 17, and is subjected to its shareholder’s approval at an extraordinary meeting to be convened at a date to be announced later. 

“The proposed change of name, if approved by the shareholders, will take effect from the date of issuance of notice of registration of new name under Section 28(4) of the Companies Act 2016 by CCM. A Circular to Shareholders with the details of the proposed change of name will be issued to the shareholders of the company in due course," according to a bourse filing.

Before changing its name to Dynaciate in 2018 due to the emergence of a substantial shareholder at that time, namely Dynaciate Engineering Sdn Bhd, the company was known as Tatt Giap Group. 

According to its website, Dynaciate is principally involved in trading of steel products, manufacturing and distribution of stainless-steel tubes, fittings and pipes business. Towards the end of the year 2018, the group has diversified its principal activities into construction and engineering segments. 

Dynaciate shares closed up half a sen or 3.57% on Wednesday, for a market value of RM146.66 million.
