KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Digital health service provider DOC2US has been appointed as an official industrial collaborator by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

In a statement on Monday (March 28), the firm said the role is to impart DOC2US’ expertise and experience to students and staff of the faculty, and enrich the quality of digital health and public health research of USM's Department of Community Medicine.

DOC2US chief executive officer and co-founder Dr Raymond Choy said the firm is fortunate to be able to work with USM as an industrial collaborator.

“We foresee ourselves pioneering collaborations hand in hand with more educational institutes in the medical and technological arenas as well,” he said.

Earlier this month, home-grown DOC2US bagged two awards — the SOBA 2021 Rising Star Award, where DOC2US was recognised as the best new, up-and-coming local enterprise that had displayed great potential to become a successful player in the local and international markets, and at the ASOCIO Awards, held in collaboration with the PIKOM Unicorn Tech Awards 2021, in the HealthTech (health technology) segment.

Choy noted that the awards would serve as strong motivation for the firm to continue to solidify DOC2US as an enterprise that leads the future-readiness of Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem.
