DNeX bags RM88m IT system maintenance contract from MoF

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 9): Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX), through its business unit Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd (iAC), has bagged a contract worth RM88 million from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to maintain the Integrated Government Financial and Management System (iGFMAS).

Apart from maintenance, iAC, who was the contractor for the iGFMAS, will, under this 45-month contract, also provide support services and application improvement to the iGFMAS.

In a statement, DNeX group managing director Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the group is pleased to receive the contract and thanked the government for the opportunity.

"The contract is also a testament to our commitment and ability to deliver effective digital solutions to the public sector, and augurs well for our aspiration to be a leading provider of technology consulting and systems integration in the country and globally.

"As a digital solutions provider, we continuously seek opportunities to help customers, either in the public or private sector, enhance operational efficiency and increase their customer experience by strengthening their digital reach. We will be with customers in their digital transformation journey to provide the biggest impact for their operations and business," he added.

According to DNeX, iAC has over 200 experienced SAP (systems applications and products) consultants, and has completed more than 100 projects in the public and private sectors.

The company's key areas of services include next generation enterprise application, cloud computing and migration services, consulting and digital transformation, as well as application development and innovation towards providing customised solutions for technology refresh, system integration as well as end-to-end enterprise-wide digital transformation.

DNeX's share price closed down one sen or 1.21% to 81.5 sen, translating into a market value of RM2.51 billion. The company saw 148.01 million shares traded.

The counter, year-to-date, has appreciated 270% from 22 sen on Jan 4, 2021.
