KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 2): Datuk Ding Seng Huat (pictured) had yesterday (Jan 1, 2020) resigned as DBE Gurney Resources Bhd group managing director to concentrate his efforts on the poultry business, the chicken farming and processing company said today.

DBE Gurney said in separate statements to Bursa Malaysia today that Datuk Doh Jee Ming was redesignated yesterday as the group's managing director from executive director previously.

"He (Jee Ming) is the brother of Datuk Doh Tee Leong and Datuk Doh Jee Chai. Tee Leong is a director and major shareholder whilst Jee Chai is a major shareholder of the company.

"Jee Ming has accumulated more than 19 years of working experience in business development and property construction. He also owns and holds directorships in several private limited companies in the business of housing and property development, provision of hotel services, food and beverage and also education services.

"Jee Ming has been actively involved in the management and operations of his group of companies. He continues to helm the group and he has steered the growth of his group to profitability in each of its sector since 2010," DBE Gurney said.

At Bursa's 12:30pm break today, DBE Gurney's share price settled up 0.5 sen or 16.67% at 3.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM93.74 million. The company has an issued base of 2.68 billion shares.
