KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 4): Deleum Bhd has secured a five-year maintenance, construction and modification contract — its first major contract win this year — from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

Deleum said the contract, which has a one-year extension option, was awarded to its 60%-owned subsidiary, Deleum Primera Sdn Bhd, on Sept 20.

“The value of the contract depends on the agreed rates and the work orders issued by Petronas Carigali during the contract execution throughout the contract duration,” the oil and gas services provider said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

Deleum said the scope of work will include topside structural maintenance, hook-up and commissioning, and facilities improvement program.

This confirms the report in The Edge Weekly for the week of Sept 18-24, 2017 which stated that Deleum and Icon Offshore Bhd are understood to have some form of tie-up on the operating level but not any formal joint venture with Petronas under the MCM contract awards, quoting sources.

Listed on the Main Market since June 2007, Deleum’s shares closed unchanged at 91.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM366.18 million.
