KUALA LUMPUR: Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a pioneer in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry, has reintroduced its latest technology series — the Daikin home central air conditioning (HCAC) system — in design mobility.

Inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, the live container home is set to encourage interior designers, architects and homeowners to push the boundaries of creativity.

“The Daikin Home Central Concept Home is an avant-garde theme home that showcases the HCAC system’s flexibility and multifunctional usage of each air conditioning unit that is specifically designed for different areas,” said Daikin Malaysia chief operating officer Ooi Cheng Suan in a statement yesterday.

“Air conditioners have become an integral entity of our daily lives due to the temperatures and moisture level of Malaysia’s weather. With most modern Malaysian homes fitted with an air conditioning unit, we are continuously innovating our air conditioning units to be at par with design trends, user requirements and functionality,” he added.

The Daikin HCAC system is a centralised system that can support up to 12-horsepower air conditioners. Unlike conventional air conditioning units that require one compressor for each indoor unit, this system enables the reduction of the outdoor compressor unit which gives homes a neat and minimalistic outlook.

“With the use of [the] HCAC system, homeowners won’t have to face problems such as [a] protruding indoor unit, hindrance of decorative items or mismatch of colour,” said Daikin Malaysia senior manager of plan and specification Ooi Seng Choong.
