KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 28): CyberSecurity Malaysia and BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Limited (BAE Systems) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a general framework for potential future collaboration in the field of cyber security.

In a statement today, CyberSecurity Malaysia CEO Amirudin Abdul Wahab, said both companies agreed to establish and strengthen cooperation relating to the development of capability and capacity in information security.

"We wish to formalise this collaboration under the auspices of a ‘Strategic Technology Collaboration’, which is planned to evolve over the course of time,” he added.

BAE Systems Managing Director Martin Sutherland, said both companies could leverage on their respective knowledge, experience, capabilities and products to identify, explore and exploit commercial opportunities in the provision of cyber security solutions in Malaysia.

BAE Systems, based in the United Kingdom, is a global supplier of cyber security products, solutions and services.

It has invested in the development of several key technologies and capabilities which it believes to be appropriate in realising Malaysia's cyber vision.
