PETALING JAYA (Jan 27): The homegrown cloud kitchen brand COOX officially launched its flagship store located at Glo Damansara mall in TTDI, Kuala Lumpur last Friday (Jan 21).

Officiated by COOX co-founder and former Minister of Youth and Sports Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, the cloud kitchen takes up 4,500 sq ft and is a fully renovated and equipped facility. Renovation of another lot has added another 1,000 sq ft that now houses an extra seven new kitchen suites and brings the total number of kitchens to 26 units.

Some of the F&B operators of the facility are Cold Stone Creamery, The Manhattan FISH MARKET, NY Steak Shack, just to name a few. Currently, the cloud kitchen occupancy rate is 80%.

“We are happy to have the opportunity to work with like-minded corporate partners like Glomac Bhd, which has helped make our flagship location here at Glo Damansara such a success,” said COOX co-founder and CEO Ken Lee in the press statement. 

“By leveraging on the combined industry network of our five co-founders, we are gearing up to replicate this model with our second Klang Valley location at Taylor's University’s Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya, which will be operational in 1H2022 and is open for registration, starting today,” he added.

At the grand launch ceremony, Lee also announced the launch of COOX native mobile app, which allows customers to order meals for delivery, self-pickup, or dine-in at open-air dining areas.

COOX is eyeing to expand to 10 cloud kitchens in Klang Valley, offering a platform for F&B operators and business owners to leverage on their affordable kitchen spaces and offer Malaysians more F&B choices.
